Halloween topics, like trick-or-treating safety tips, can boost posts but even a consistent fall theme can increase engagement and create a feeling of mutual celebration.
NEW YORK – It’s a good time for agents to incorporate Halloween elements into their social media marketing strategy. Each and every post matters, so a strategy is essential.
Agents can offer trick-or-treating safety tips, or the benefit of carrying glow sticks or adding reflective materials to costumes or bags. They can also emphasize their role as a local expert, perhaps by pointing out their local area’s low-risk crosswalks and neighborhoods.
Agents can also post pictures of different Halloween décor or even seasonal décor that can last long after the holiday. They can also share videos for do-it-yourself decorations – or take a walk with their camera and show off the neighborhood.
Another idea: Pair up with a local business that sells fall decorations and have them dress up a for-sale listing and tag it in a post.
The colors of fall also make October also an ideal time to hold open houses, including virtually. Agents can highlight images of any changing foliage and a home’s seasonal décor. However, the home’s features should not be concealed with too many decorations. Features for listing photos can include pumpkins on a mantel or a bowl of candy in the kitchen.
Halloween is also a good time for contests, such as one for costumes. Agents can create a post or email asking the audience to share photos of children’s or pets’ costumes, tag the agent, and share the page on social media sites.
